October through March are the months when low water conditions in the Rio Negro’s lagoon studded tributaries let us find optimal fishing conditions far away from the crowds. Drafting less than one foot with full aluminum hulls, these versatile units can make their way through just about anything.

If you are seeking large peacock bass, this trip can deliver it. Daily catch averages (from 15-25+ per day). Giant Cichla temensis peacock bass are found in the Rio Negro tributaries.

We select locations with productive secluded lagoons, hours away from more navigable waters in less remote places. After arriving in Manaus, you travel directly to our Floating Bungalow camp via a new, state-of-the-art, 8 passenger Cessna Caravan turbo prop floatplane, effectively eliminating daily 3-5 hour boat travel or expensive daily Fly-Outs.

After arriving in Manaus, you travel directly to the Floating Bungalow camp via a new, state-of-the-art, 8 passenger Cessna Caravan turbo prop floatplane, effectively eliminating commercial flights, long (5-7 hour) boat travel or expensive daily Fly-Outs.
